Sandi Dahl, PSA “My paintings are not of a specific scene, but of a sense of place in a moment of time. I search for basic elements of composition that convey the mood and satisfy an emotional response to that image. Color and light are my tools. After composing, my main thrust is to lay in colors and shapes. This is most important to me, as I use color boldly, for expression of mood, just as I hope the stroke of the pastel stick to be boldly expressive of emotion. I would say that my focus is that of a colorist seeking the emotional impact of color together with the landscape of contemporarily realism.” Currently, the artist shows her works at major art festivals:
